Mousetraps and Scrolls at Taszo Cafe

We had an opening at Taszo Cafe on Wednesday, November 20, 2013.

Here are some shots from the opening.

The "Yemaya Scroll" which I partnered with Denise Laurin Donatelle on, is just behind me, with the purple border.

Mousetrap Scroll and the "Immigrants' Journey" Group Scroll are on display in the rear nook of the cafe.   The blue paper airplane was folded by the Origami master, Emmett Gebb (my 9 year old roommate!)

Detail of the bottom row of the Mousetrap Scroll.

The artist and aforementioned Origami master (in his Karate clothes) with his grandfather pose in front of the series of scrolls in the cafe.

Fuller view of cafe from the rear, towards the windows facing the street.  Note the Ninja pointing at the "Yemeya Scroll"

The above 2 photographs courtesy of Denise Laurin Donatelle and appeared originally on her blogpost http://deniselaurin.blogspot.com/2013/11/tokonomaa-at-taszo.html

Thanks to her especially for making this show happen!!
