Red Theater Play A Day Challenge

I'm participating in NaNoWriMo.

And also, Red Theater's Play a Day Challenge, for the month of November.

They have everyone contribute $15, and they take 20% off the top. Then of the people who "win" (i.e. the people who have been doing it EVERYDAY and make it to the end), they get to split the rest of the cash!

A brilliant economic scheme.  Even if you get just a few cents, it's complete motivation.  And maybe the BEST $15 I've spent on theater.  A month's worth of entertainment, my favorite bc I wrote it, and I get to keep what I've created. Amazing!

Azores Sketches

I am doing sketches in the Azores.  I love it.

My new roommates!

Mom's Trees Are Chopped Down!!! (Winter pictures!)

Last Saturday, a neighbor decided to take a chainsaw into my mother's yard to cut down some trees. Even though they had known her for years, they said they didn't know who the land belonged to.

I love to take shots of the sunset and then do watercolors or oil paintings of them.

I love the branches against the sky, how they frame the colors.  I was raised with this view of the sky; the trees have grown with me. Or, I have grown with the trees.

I miss them already.

New Drafting Table in Studio!!

Having a marvelous week at my Studio on Java St in Greenpoint!  

Freecycling is a great thing here! Got this marvelous (foldable) drafting table and a Sodastream machine!!
